UK cover art for Robin Hobb's Dragon Haven

Here's the cover art for Robin Hobb's Dragon Haven (Canada) part two of the story which began with The Dragon Keeper (Canada, USA, Europe), and second volume in the duology which is now referred to as The Rain Wilds Chronicles.

Dragon Keeper just came out and we already have the cover art for the sequel. That's one of the things that I love about Robin Hobb- she releases quality work on a regular basis. That's not meant as a knock on anyone else, it's just that I appreciate her consistency.

Well, DRAGON KEEPER was supposed to be one novel. But the final draft was too big, so her publishers decided to split it into two volumes, with DRAGON HAVEN being part 2.

Mind you, Robin Hobb is consistent, but this is not a new book. The next one will be a collection of short stories.

I do remember that, now that you mention it. Thanks for the reminder. (I remember some of the reviews citing the abrupt/awkward ending.)

The short story collection will be a nice treat, though.

*blink* For a second there, I had it confused with Robin McKinley's Dragonhaven.

Fantastic. I really enjoyed Dragon Keeper but still, it left me unsatisfied. That it was meant to be a standalone novel explains a lot. For a moment there, I was beginning to doubt Hobbs.

Yeah, the ending was very abrupt, but as has been noted, this is only logical. Anyway, I guess the cover is okay, but I miss the John Howe covers.
