Win a copy of Matthew Stover and Robert E. Vardeman's GOD OF WAR

Got this one in the mail a few days back. Since I'm not going to read it, I figure that some of you might want to get their hands on a complimentary copy. So I'm giving away God of War by Matthew Stover and Robert E. Vardeman to one lucky winner! For more info about this title: Canada, USA, Europe.

Here's the blurb:

Offering deeper insights into the critically acclaimed God of War® franchise, this novel returns us to the dark world of ancient Greek mythology explored in the heart-pounding action of God of War I, the bestselling video game.

A brutal warrior, Kratos is a slave to the gods of Olympus. Plagued by the nightmares of his past and yearning for freedom, the Ghost of Sparta would do anything to be free of his debt to the gods. He is on the verge of losing all hope when the gods give him one last task to end his servitude.

He must destroy Ares, the god of war.

But what chance does a mere mortal have against a god? Armed with the deadly chained Blades of Chaos, guided by the goddess Athena, and driven by his own insatiable thirst for vengeance, Kratos seeks the only relic powerful enough to slay Ares . . . a quest that will take him deep into the mysterious temple borne by the Titan Cronos!

From the black depths of Hades to the war-torn city of Athens to the lost desert beyond, God of War sheds a brutal new light on the bestselling video game and on the legend of Kratos.

YES. I know nothing about this game, but the book is on my must-have list simply because Stover wrote it.

Another book based on a video game? I think I'll just wait for Tyra Banks' series.

I'm not interested in Stover's licensed work, but if you haven't read his Caine series, Pat, I think it seems like something that might interest you.

i love that game! and the second one.... still waiting on the funds for a PS3 so i can play the third...

the game is amazing. but i'm curious about how they've fleshed out an 8 hr mythological bloodbath. hopefully, more of kratos' back story is in it. you get some flashbacks during cut scenes, but nothing hugely extravagant. might have to pick this up at some point.

*sorry for the rambling. it's 4AM, i have 3 hrs of work left, and i'm a video game lover. thanks for posting this!*
